Dentures
A Practical and Personalised Way to Replace Missing Teeth
If you have several missing teeth, or are looking for a removable alternative to implants or bridges, dentures can provide an effective way to restore your smile and improve everyday function.
Modern dentures are individually designed to fit your mouth, support your bite and create a natural appearance. Depending on your needs, they may replace a small number of teeth or a complete arch.

What Types of Dentures Are Available?
Partial dentures are used when some natural teeth remain. They fill the spaces created by missing teeth while working alongside your existing teeth. Full dentures replace all of the teeth in the upper or lower arch when no natural teeth remain in that area.
In some suitable cases, dental implants can also be used to provide additional support and stability for a denture. Your dentist will explain whether this is appropriate for you.
Designed Around You
Comfort, function and appearance are all important when planning a denture. We carefully assess your mouth, remaining teeth, bite and smile before recommending the most appropriate option. The aim is to create a solution that feels comfortable, helps you eat and speak with confidence and complements your natural appearance.

Choosing Between Dentures, Bridges and Implants
There is no single best way to replace missing teeth for every patient. A denture may be the most appropriate option for one person, while another may benefit more from a bridge or dental implants. We will explain the advantages, limitations and level of treatment involved with each suitable option so you can decide what is right for you.
Dr Lawrence Lee and Dr Elvis Law both provide removable partial dentures for missing teeth as part of their clinical work at Shaftesbury Dental Care.
